Michelsen was founded in 1841 and exhibited as early as 1855 as the only Danish silversmith at the World Exhibition in Paris. In 1985, Georg Jensen bought A. Michelsen and the company disappeared as an independent name, despite the fact that throughout the workshop's lifetime they had managed to keep up with the times and deliver items of such high quality that they became a Royal Court
